My name is Mike Donoghue and through Living Niche, I strive to create beautiful landscapes that benefit both people and nature.  If we cultivate them properly, our home landscapes can be a wonderful opportunity to experience the natural world.

I have been accredited as an organic land care professional (AOLCP) by the Northeast Organic Farming Association (NOFA).  I adhere to the NOFA Organic Land Care Standards in the work that I do.

On the website you will find information about the services I offer, as well as the "field notes" blog.  If you have any questions, you can locate me under the Contact page.

What is a Living Niche?

A Living Niche is a garden or landscape sustainably designed with a natural aesthetic that considers and serves the needs of humans, plants, and wildlife.  A Living Niche can be anything from an organic lawn to a functional garden space.  No matter the form, a Living Niche is always a functional habitat that meets its design goals by appreciating and working with the processes of the natural world.
